Man has always been at a conflict with nature. Whether it be the volcanoes, earth quakes, floods, and all the way back to the beginning when our conflict was with the dinosaurs. The bull elk's nature is to protect the heard. He saw the people as a threat and was warding them off from coming closer. To him they were a danger!
