María del Mar Pietropaolo was born in Lorca, Spain,the so-called City of the Sun, in 1968 and began to paint and write at a very early age, becoming her passion. Today she is self-taught, who calls herself a free thinker, and dedicates herself completely to it. This particular world between surrealism, abstract figurism and what is understood as contemporary painting is reflected in a very personal handling of color.
